## What makes a good bank

- Every question tagged by topic, skill and difficulty
- Mark schemes stored with the questions
- Usage tracked, so questions aren't over-exposed
- Reviewed and approved before use

## Its limits, and AI

A fixed bank wears out: students remember questions. AI can draft fresh questions in the same style, which people then review, so the bank keeps growing.

## Questions

**How big should a bank be?**

Big enough that papers don't repeat. Several times the questions you'll use in a year is a common aim.

**Can AI write bank questions?**

It can draft them; people should approve them.
