SparkExam · Feature
Make papers harder to leak and results harder to fake
Leaks and fraud need gaps: a paper sitting readable on a server, a script nobody can match to a candidate, a mark changed without a trace. SparkExam closes those gaps one by one, and keeps people in charge of every decision.
Where it closes the gaps
- Sealed papers
- When a sitting opens, the paper moves to a sealed copy (encrypted if sealing is on), and its normal wording is blanked until the session closes.
- Signed pages
- Paper scripts can be printed as packs where every page carries a signed code: which candidate, which script, which page of how many.
- Checked scans
- Codes read from the scans are verified on the server before a page is matched to a candidate.
- A trail for everything
- Approvals, changes and releases are recorded, so every result can be traced back.
No AI inside the exam
During a sitting, only on-device checks run. AI and statistics come in afterwards, and they only raise flags for a person to look at. Marks never change by themselves.
Online exams
On screen, proctoring can record the candidate's whole screen on their device and keep only the moments they leave the exam, so reviewers see what matters and nothing else.
Questions
- Can AI fail a candidate on its own?
- No. AI and statistics only raise flags. A person reviews every flag and decides.
- What happens to the paper during the exam?
- It's moved to a sealed copy for the sitting and restored when the session closes, so marking and integrity tools work as usual afterwards.
- Does this replace invigilators?
- No. It supports them: fewer gaps for fraud, and a clear record when something needs a second look.
